On the ground floor, there are ticket counters for ferries to outlying islands and Uminonakamichi Seaside Park/Marine World.The trip from Hakata Futoh Pier (which is next to Bayside Place) to Uminonakamichi takes 20 minutes.For those who plan to visit Marine World, it would be a good idea to purchase the bundled package consisting of round trip fare and admission ticket.Update:The package deal is not sold at the ticket counter anymore. Instead, it can be purchased at the Sun Palace Hotel, which is a 10-minute walk down the waterfront.

Beautiful place

Very nice and clean area even though there are so many daily activities and routine here.I’ve spent almost half day here just to take picture and enjoy the environment and perspective.Respect to the local community and government that maintain this place as it should be.

lovely walk along the bay to the international port. easily accessible by bus 46 & 99 from hakata station.

Fresh seafood at reasonable price! And other groceries are also fresh and cheap. Clerks are kind too.

Port where you get on ferry's to neighboring islands including Fukuoka aquarium. You should ask if the island where you're going to has a convenience store so you can buy around this area if there's none or leave things in the locker. You can ask for pamphlets, maps or ferry's schedule. You can ask for a discount if you're a tourist. The ferry is fast and passengers are in on closed glass windows.

I came here several times and I really love the small shopping mall and street food places they have here. It was the perfect place to spend my hours and wait before going on a weekend trip to Busan in Korea. They also have here boats going for nearby islands. Recommend to check out this neighboorhood.

Nothing much to see. Relatively small area that you can finish visiting in 5-10 mins.

Harbour view. Relaxing place. There is a supermarket where you can buy fresh sushi and eat it there while you seat. Also restaurants, bus stop, and some shops.

Offers nothing, better spend your time somewhere else

Ramune 98yen...shocked ×.×sweet pineapple 100yen...amazing! Love sushi, plz visit here around 11AM! DON'T go so early or late-you can't eat oishii×fresh sushi.. MAYBE*In -> charge 10% tax (recommend!)*Out -> charge 8% tax

Beautiful place for shopping, fishing, and eating

Bayside Place popped up in a few search results when I searched 'Places to visit Fukuoka'... So I decided to check it out since it's stated as a place great for souvenir shopping...Unfortunately, this place did not meet my expectations... There aren't many 'souvenir' shops as stated online. There's a supermarket and an indoor child play centre with a Freshness Burger joint.Wouldn't recommend if you're planning to find any touristy goods & souvenirs. 😕

You can also jump on a ferry and dart to a nearby island for a stroll on the beach and seaside lunch. Visit during festivals and watch it come alive!

Went for fireworks festival to mark the last weekend of summer. Great event and a great place to host an event such as this.
